My life as an artist began here in Manila. I didn't always know I'd be an artist. Like most women,
I loved make-up, but I spent more time with my nose in a book.
2005--Teaching myself the Art
So I was at a loss what do to with a new makeup that I received for my birthday in 2005,
especially when I realized I didn't even know what a Stippling was. Well, actually,
I thought I knew a lot about that,when I enrolled in my first make up class
and thats when I fell in love with it.
From the first brush stroke I knew this was something I had to do. It wasn't easy fitting classes,
workshops and make - up class in school, but somehow I managed.
Early on, I discovered that teaching how to put on make-up was a great way to learn and,
just incidentally, to help pay for materials.
My instructor said, "If the values are right, the color doesn't matter." But color turned out to be
my passion.
Then I gathered together many of the lessons I used in my classes, researched creativity, and
launched this site and my business
with the help of my close camaraderie and photographer - Hyacinth Romulo.
You cannot imagine how much fun this is, meeting so many
interesting people in different places. I'm still not sure how all this came about: what turned a
student into a make-up artist? But I do know that just
about anything can happen--if you make it happen.
